Robben Ford - Talk to Your Daughter



En Talk to Your Daughter, es evidente la influencia del jazz-fusión, a partir de la inclusión de Russell Ferrante en piano eléctrico, lo que convierte al usual trío de Robben Ford en un cuarteto.
La banda suena concisa, sólida, con sustento en una efectiva labor del baterista Vinnie Colaiuta (Frank Zappa, Joni Mitchell), y del propio Ford, en sus originales Talk to Your Daughter y Ain't Got Nothin' But the Blues; y en las versiones de Help the Poor (Charles Singleton), y de Born Under a Bad Sign (Booker T Jones), popularizada por Albert King.
La segunda mitad del disco es menos lograda debido a que los temas no son tan significativos, sonando decididamente como Larry Carlton en Revelation. ***1/2
